Backup & Disaster Recovery

Backups are your last line of defence against ransomware, hardware failure and human error, and they only count if they actually restore. We design, run and rehearse your backup and disaster recovery so that when an incident hits, it costs you hours, not weeks. As a security-first MSSP, we treat recovery as part of your security posture, not an afterthought.

What's included

Local & cloud-based backups

A hybrid approach that keeps a local copy for fast everyday restores and a cloud copy for resilience when the site itself is the problem.

Microsoft 365 & mailbox backup

Independent backup of your mail, files and Teams data, because Microsoft's built-in retention is not a substitute for a real backup you control.

Full system image backups

Complete images of your servers, so recovery means bringing a whole system back rather than rebuilding it from scratch.

Offsite & immutable storage

Copies held offsite in storage that cannot be altered or deleted, so ransomware that reaches your network cannot reach your backups.

Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS)

Critical systems can be brought up in a recovery environment when your primary infrastructure is down, keeping the business running while you rebuild.

DR planning (RPO & RTO)

We agree with you how much data loss and downtime each system can tolerate, then design the backup schedule and recovery plan to meet it.

Scheduled DR drills & test restores

Restores are tested and drills are run on a schedule, so you know your backups work before you need them, not after.

Fast file, mailbox & server restores

From a single deleted file or mailbox item to a full server, restores are handled quickly by the same team that runs your backups.

How it works

A clear path, from first look to fully managed.

01

Assess & plan

We map your critical systems and data, review what is currently backed up (and what silently is not), and agree recovery objectives (RPO and RTO) for each system, so the plan reflects what your business genuinely cannot afford to lose.

02

Implement & protect

We deploy the backup design: local and cloud copies, full system images, Microsoft 365 backup and offsite immutable storage, with DRaaS for the systems that must come back first. Everything is matched to your environment and budget.

03

Run, verify & rehearse

We monitor backup jobs daily, fix failures before they become gaps, run scheduled test restores and DR drills, and adjust the plan as your systems and priorities change.

What changes for you

Ransomware loses its leverage: clean, immutable copies mean you can restore instead of paying
Recovery measured in hours, not weeks, against objectives agreed in advance
Confidence built on tested restores and rehearsed drills, not assumptions
One accountable partner watching your backups every day, so failures are caught early
FAQ

Backup & Disaster Recovery, answered.

Isn't Microsoft 365 already backed up by Microsoft?

No. Microsoft keeps the service running and offers limited retention, but protecting your data is your responsibility. If a mailbox is purged, a SharePoint library is overwritten or an account is compromised, retention windows can quietly run out. An independent Microsoft 365 backup gives you your own copy, on your own terms.

How do immutable backups protect us from ransomware?

Modern ransomware goes after your backups first, encrypting or deleting them so you have no choice but to pay. Immutable storage holds copies that cannot be changed or removed for a set period, even by an administrator account. That leaves you with a clean version to restore from, whatever happens on the network.

How quickly could we be back up and running after a disaster?

That depends on the recovery objectives we agree for each system up front, which is exactly why DR planning around RPO and RTO comes first. For your most critical systems, Disaster Recovery as a Service means they can be brought up in a recovery environment rather than waiting on a rebuild. Scheduled drills then prove the plan delivers those times in practice.
