Networks & Infrastructure
Your network is the foundation everything else runs on. When it is slow, patchy or poorly secured, every system and every person in the business feels it. F1 designs, builds and manages reliable, secure network infrastructure across offices, sites and systems, from structured cabling and Wi-Fi through to firewalls and complete office setups, with security built in from the first cable.
What's included
LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi & VLAN design
We design wired, wireless and wide-area networks with VLAN segmentation, so traffic is properly separated and a compromise in one part of the network cannot spread freely to the rest.
Network installation & cabling
Structured cabling installed neatly and labelled properly, giving you a physical network layer that is easy to maintain, extend and troubleshoot for years to come.
Firewall deployment & configuration
Business-grade firewalls deployed and configured to fit your environment, forming the perimeter layer of a security-first network rather than an afterthought.
Wi-Fi optimisation & mesh
We assess coverage and interference, then optimise access point placement or deploy mesh systems so your whole office gets fast, stable wireless without dead zones.
Failover & redundancy planning
Redundant links and failover paths planned into the design, so a single line or device failure does not take your business offline.
New office IT setup (end-to-end)
For a new office we handle the whole job, from cabling and Wi-Fi through firewalls, networking equipment and UPS, delivered as one project by one partner.
Office moves & IT relocations
We plan and execute the IT side of an office move so your team is connected and working from day one in the new space.
A clear path, from first look to fully managed.
Assess & design
We start by understanding your sites, users and workloads, then assess the current network for coverage gaps, bottlenecks and security weaknesses. From there we produce a practical design covering cabling, Wi-Fi, segmentation, firewalls and redundancy, with equipment matched to your environment and budget rather than a one-size-fits-all product list.
Build & secure
Our engineers install and configure the network to the agreed design: structured cabling, switches and access points, VLANs, firewall rules and failover paths. Everything is documented and tested before handover, so you know exactly what is running and how it is secured.
Manage & monitor
After go-live the network becomes part of our managed service. We monitor it continuously, keep firmware and configurations up to date, and adjust the setup as your team, offices and traffic grow, so performance and security do not drift over time.
What changes for you
Networks & Infrastructure, answered.
Can you set up a new office or handle an office move end to end?
Yes, this is one of the things we do most often. We handle the full scope: structured cabling, Wi-Fi, firewalls, networking equipment, UPS and workstation setup, delivered as a single project. For relocations we plan the cutover so your team is connected and productive from the first day in the new space.
Our Wi-Fi is slow and unreliable. Do we need to rip everything out and start again?
Usually not. We start with an assessment of your coverage, interference and equipment, and in many cases repositioning access points, retuning the setup or adding mesh units solves the problem. Where hardware genuinely is the issue, we recommend replacements matched to your environment and budget, not a blanket rebuild.
We already have a router from our internet provider. Why do we need a proper firewall?
ISP routers are built to get you online, not to protect a business. A properly configured firewall gives you control over what enters and leaves your network, supports segmentation and secure remote access, and forms one of the core layers in a security-first setup. As an MSSP we treat the firewall as part of your security stack, deployed, configured and kept up to date, not just installed and forgotten.
